The Goodwill Migrant Shelter has become a source of hope for many workers, such as 24-year-old Esata Bah from Sierra Leone, who sought a better life in Lebanon. The shelter plays a crucial role in providing care, medical treatment, and essential supplies to those in dire need. Despite harsh conditions, it offers a chance for a brighter future.
Nasri Sayegh, a Lebanese citizen, recounts the shelter's humble beginnings during a crisis in late September. With only a handful of volunteers, the shelter has since evolved into a vital sanctuary for approximately 250 women from Sierra Leone.
Beyond providing necessities like food, clothing, and medical care, the shelter fosters a sense of community and normalcy through shared moments of music and dance.
Amidst Lebanon's turmoil, the Goodwill Migrant Shelter stands as a testament to human kindness and resilience, tirelessly working to provide hope and support to those affected by the conflict.
